A significant milestone in African education and leadership took place in October 2024 as the African School of Governance (ASG) officially opened its doors in Kigali, Rwanda. Founded by some of the continent’s most respected leaders, including Rwandan President Paul Kagame and former Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn, the institution aims to nurture the next generation of African leaders through excellence in governance, leadership, and public administration.
“The African School of Governance will carry the aspirations of the African continent. It was founded with the expectation that, through its teaching, research, and advocacy, something convincing and capable of changing the lives of Africans would emerge.”
