The Egyptian National Commission for UNESCO has announced that nominations are now open for the 2026 UNESCO prize on the use of information and communication technologies in education.
Focus on Artificial Intelligence in Education
The Commission says this year’s theme is ‘Reimagining Creativity and Critical Thinking with Artificial Intelligence’ and they are looking for innovation and projects that use AI in education to boost creativity, strengthen critical thinking, and promote the responsible use of technology.
Prize Details and Eligibility
There will be two winners who will receive US$25,000 each. The award recognises outstanding projects and initiatives that demonstrate the effective and ethical integration of artificial intelligence within educational settings.
Application Deadline and Submission Process
The deadline for the application form is April 25, but submissions to the National Commission can be made until April 26. Applications can be sent via the official submission link provided by the Commission.

The initiative aims to encourage educators, institutions, and organisations to present forward-thinking solutions that align with global education priorities and support sustainable development through technology.
