The Moroccan Ministry of Higher Education has launched a national platform, ELOGHA-SUP, an innovative digital solution to improve university education and help students get into the job market.
An official government statement says the platform, which Moroccan experts have developed, offers learning in five languages to international standard. The platform uses artificial intelligence and more than 2,000 language resources to cover different disciplines. The initiative reflects Morocco’s efforts to modernise its higher education system.
Advancing Multilingual and Digital Learning
The introduction of ELOGHA-SUP marks a significant step in strengthening multilingual education and digital learning infrastructure across Morocco’s higher education sector. By integrating artificial intelligence and diverse academic resources, the platform aims to equip students with the skills needed to compete in an increasingly global and multilingual workforce.
The initiative also aligns with broader national priorities to enhance employability outcomes and support innovation in teaching and learning.
UNESCO Webinar Discusses Misinformation in Times of Crisis
In a related development, UNESCO recently hosted a webinar focusing on the growing challenge of misinformation during times of crisis. The session brought together educators, policymakers and communication experts to examine how misinformation spreads rapidly in uncertain environments and impacts communities.
The discussion highlighted the importance of media literacy, critical thinking and responsible digital engagement, particularly within education systems. Participants emphasised the role of schools and universities in preparing students to navigate complex information landscapes and respond to misinformation effectively.
Strengthening Education Systems for Future Challenges
Both developments reflect a shared global focus on strengthening education systems to address evolving challenges. While Morocco’s ELOGHA-SUP platform supports multilingual learning and employability, UNESCO’s ongoing dialogue underscores the need for resilience and awareness in the digital age.
Together, these efforts demonstrate how education continues to play a central role in equipping individuals and communities to adapt, respond and thrive in a rapidly changing world.
