Nigeria Presents Plans For African School Games
Nigeria has presented its plans to host the 2027 African School Games to the General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa.
The presentation took place during the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games in Japan. Habu Gumel, president of the Nigeria Olympic Committee, said the plans received a positive response.
Gumel attended the Asian Games alongside the chair of the Local Organising Committee for the African School Games. He also expressed confidence in Nigeria’s preparations for the 2027 event.
The African School Games will take place in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, from 2 to 11 August 2027.
