Rove Hotels, the UAE-born contemporary lifestyle brand and a joint venture between Emaar Properties and Dubai Holding, has announced its entry into Egypt with the signing of Rove Sheikh Zayed City, in partnership with El Sayyad Group. The move marks a significant step in the brand’s regional expansion strategy and strengthens its footprint across key Middle Eastern markets.
Strategic Partnership Strengthens Expansion Into Egypt
The agreement is executed through El Sayyad Group’s dedicated hotels investment subsidiary, El Sayyad for Hotels & Resorts. This development signals Rove’s commitment to introducing its distinctive mix of style, connectivity and value to one of the region’s most dynamic urban centres. The project, Rove Sheikh Zayed City, will be strategically located on the Cairo–Alexandria Desert Road, offering convenient access to major landmarks and commercial districts across Greater Cairo and beyond. Construction is scheduled to commence in the second half of this year.
Modern Hospitality Experience In Sheikh Zayed City
Rove Sheikh Zayed City is designed to meet the evolving needs of modern travellers visiting Cairo. The property will feature 240 rooms, each reflecting the brand’s signature vibrant design and relaxed comfort. The location will offer strong connectivity, placing guests just 15 minutes from the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Great Pyramids of Giza. The hotel will also provide easy access to Downtown Cairo and Alexandria via the Cairo–Alexandria Desert Road.
Positioned close to Smart Village, one of Egypt’s largest business hubs, the hotel is also located approximately 15 minutes from Sphinx International Airport. Guests will have access to a range of lifestyle amenities including all-day dining at The Daily, a swimming pool, fitness facilities and co-working spaces.
Regional Expansion Continues To Gather Pace

The announcement of Rove Sheikh Zayed City follows several high-profile project announcements across the region, including developments in Saudi Arabia and Oman. The Egypt expansion reflects Rove’s ambition to cater to travellers seeking accessible, lifestyle-focused accommodation in culturally rich destinations.
“Bringing Rove to Cairo is an exciting step forward that opens the door to a new audience in a city rich with culture and energy. Our expansion into Egypt is a natural evolution for the brand as we continue to grow our presence across the region, always with the clear vision of providing high-quality, lifestyle-driven accommodation to the new generation of global travellers.”
