During a parliamentary session in Dodoma on June 16, 2026, the Deputy Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Wanu Hafidh Ameir, confirmed these infrastructure plans. She stated that the government is strengthening accommodation infrastructure in higher learning institutions to ensure students have safe, conducive, and supportive environments for their studies. Ameir further explained that the government continues to allocate funds for the construction of hostels and other educational infrastructure based on the availability of resources.
